Have you missed the sweet crunch and taste of fried chicken? We sure did so spent hours in the kitchen refining our favourite keto air fried chicken recipe much to the delight of our families and friends.
There is no need to pine for the Colonels secret recipe when you can make your own and still stay in ketosis with out all the seed oils and flour coated chicken and other hidden carb laden nasties.
This air fried pork crackling coated chicken is all reward no guilt.
Marinade
- 2 large, Egg
- 250 g, Sour Cream Original
- 15 ml, White Wine Vinegar
- 15 ml, Apple Cider Vinegar
- 10 thigh without skin, Skinless Chicken Thigh
- 10 thigh without skin, Skinless Chicken Thigh
- 2 scoops of The Keto Food Co Bone Broth
- 1 tsp, Black Pepper
- 1 tsp(s), Spices, garlic powder
Coating
- 1/4 tsp(s), onion powder
- 1 tsp, ground, Spices, oregano, dried
- 3 gm, Sea Salt
- 135 grams, Mr Hamphrey's Spicy BBQ Pork crackle
- 2 scoops, The Keto Food Co Bone Broth
- 30 gram, Parmesan Cheese Powder
- Optional 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper or Mr Humphrey's Spicy BBQ pork crackling does just the trick.
- Optional Queens sugar free maple syrup drizzled across the top
Instructions
Step 1
Mix the marinade and season to taste before adding chicken, for best results make the marinade the night before add chicken breast and mix well. Cover bowl with glad wrap and chill. Allow to marinade for a minimum of two hours
Step 2
Blend all dry ingredients for coating in a food processor including pork rinds then blend till in a fine powder format.
Step 3
Remove Chicken from marinade and coat well place down in bowl or flat tray and coat entire chicken in pork rind coating. Add to Air fryer and fry at 180 degrees for 30 minutes and enjoy
